Dhi-e celebrates the 77th independence day and pledges for maximum outreach

Updated: Nov 17, 2023

77 years ago we finally got the freedom to dream independently. We finally got to walk freely with our spine straight and chin up.

Many great souls fought fearlessly and sacrificed their precious lives -

- so that the next generation can breathe the air of self-esteem

- so that the younger ones can fulfill their independent dreams

- so that a child can aspire to have “wings of fire”

- so that we can launch a satellite on the moon just after 77 years for the price of a world tour.

The nation has thrived to the moon, become a major workforce in technological and medicinal development across the globe, digitized to the bottom of the economic ladder, and produced millions of business organizations.

There is no doubt we have progressed remarkably in education and governance. At the same time, we have unconsciously developed some unwanted traits as a society.

Traits such as biased education accessibilities, including gender, location, economy, and societal stature.

While lifestyles are getting severely westernized (another topic to discuss), the advancement in the education system is less futuristic. The infrastructure of public school education has not moved much towards broader application and innovation.

Another clear differentiation is rising as a substantial number of students from suburbs and rural areas are falling behind because of several unforeseen challenges.

Besides governance, we also need to light up some alleys as responsible and capable citizens. And when it comes to education and innovation, our nation has talents in every small corner.

There are even more achievers who have made their way to top-notch positions all over the world. If these people can come forward and pass the torch, it is not far away that India will become the hub of job creators.

This is where the Dhi-e Foundation comes in. During their graduation studies, a few dreamers foresaw opportunities to reach out to students in every corner of India.

After their graduation, they made it true with the goals-

- to maximize education outreach and bring awareness

- to ignite young minds with globally competitive skills

- to build confident and capable youth.

What has Dhi-e achieved in 2021-2023?

1. Dhi-e has opened e-classrooms across five locations in West Bengal

2. Dhi-e has launched five out-of-the-box curricula for competitive skills that are not taught at schools and particularly not at an early stage

3. More than 250 students from remote areas have benefited from Dhi-e courses.

4. Dhi-e has initiated expansion across other states (Bhilai, Chhattisgarh) in India

5. Four Dhi-e students have succeeded in nationwide science competitions.

6. Students unaware of job-relevant soft skills have started building such traits for future

7. Currently, the Dhi-e family consists of 6 core leaders, 30 teaching faculty members, and over 250 donors.

Two weeks ago, Dhi-e celebrated the 77th Independence Day via Zoom meetings across the globe. See some glimpses of the events in the photos above.

Our foundation has pledged that we will maximize the outreach and awareness in the coming years. We believe this is high time we also start dreaming together about a nation with “wings of fire.”
